3/7/2024 Bempton Cliffs
Bempton Cliffs is in East Yorkshire on the coastline south of Scarborough. It is a significant site for nesting seabirds such as Puffins, Gannets, Razorbills, Kittywakes and Guillemots. These birds spend the year out at sea and then come in land to next between May and August. There are thousands of birds that lay eggs on very small cliff edges, cracks and crags in the cliff face. Puffins will nest in small holes or burrows. I went there in the afternoon on the 3rd July and had a great time watching all of the action.
