13/7/2024 Suduroy

Suduroy is the southernmost island of the Faroes and the day started with an early frive to Torshavn to catch the ferry. The ferry ride takes two hours so I caught up on some sleep because it was very cloudy and nothing to see. When I arrived, I headed to a lighthouse at the southern end of the island. The fog was horrendous and I couldn’t see the lighthouse, so I waited for about an hour and a half and decided to take some shots even though it was still foggy. I then drove north stopping at a couple of locations and ending up at Asmundarstakkur which is a huge cylindrical sea stack along the cliffs. Above this was a large canyon with a small rickety bridge which I had seen on some You Tube videos. It was a long way up and a fair distance from where I was so I didn’t go to it but took some photos. I then headed back to catch the 6.30pm ferry back to Torshavn.
