11/7/2024 Kalsoy Island
This was another fantastic day where I went to Kalsoy Island. I had a booking on the 6.40am ferry which was an hour away from where I was staying so it was an early start. I got the ferry ok and drove to Trollanes village at the northern end of the island. It was a 40 minute hike up some decent hills to the Kallur lighthouse and the scenery was unbelievable again. There were two very scary sections that I got to for some incredible views and photos. JAMES BOND SPOILER ALERT!!!
The weather was a bit grey up there and so I spent three hours perched on one of the points waiting for the sun to come out which was forecasted. Things didnt improve so I headed back to Trollanes. As soon as I got back to the village, the sun came out. Nevrmind, I then went to another village calle Mikladalur where there was a stature of the seal woman called Kopakonan. There is a story about her but Ill let you look this one up. I then got the 4.30pm ferry back to Klaksvik.
All in all it was an amazing day.
